KingKong Technology Wins First Prize — 15th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition, Beijing Regional Next-Generation Information Technology Contest
The final round of the Next-Generation Information Technology contest at the Beijing regional stage of the 15th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition has concluded. With its project “ultra-compact, high-precision, force-sensing hollow patterned magnetic encoder”, KingKong Technology came through several rounds of pitching and rigorous review, stood out among many strong technology ventures, and took
First Prize in the Growth Group
This edition of the competition was guided by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park. Focused on frontier fields including AI, chips and robotics, it advanced 30 companies to the finals.
The Winning Project
The winning project, the “ultra-compact, high-precision, force-sensing hollow patterned magnetic encoder”, is a foundational innovation in KingKong Technology's magnetic encoding technology route. The company has realised in magnetic materials a measurement principle analogous to optical patterned encoding, so its magnetic encoders reach the most compact dimensions in the world: 90% smaller in volume than the products of overseas incumbents, while delivering 24-bit resolution and arc-second accuracy. The hollow form factor further makes installation and commissioning on robots far easier.
The award marks broad industry recognition of KingKong Technology's technical innovation and industrialisation capability in precision sensing and core robotic components. Going forward, the company will continue to work deeply on core robot sensing and actuation technology, advancing product iteration and volume delivery so that small robots with fine-grained perception reach households sooner.
